Special guest speaker: Dr Mike Bossley

Dr. Mike Bossley is a respected marine biologist and long-time whale & dolphin researcher, best known locally for his work with Adelaide’s Port River dolphins. With over 40 years of experience in marine conservation, Mike is a passionate advocate for protecting whales and dolphins both locally and internationally. He played a key role in creating the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary and has worked with organisations like Whale and Dolphin Conservation to influence policy and public awareness.

Mike is also a gifted storyteller who brings science to life in a way that’s engaging, inspiring, and deeply personal. His Coastal Ambassadors program has inspired a group of over 200 locals (and counting) to become advocates, working to increase protections for South Australia's coastal environments. Mike will share with us some of his research on the Port River dolphins and his work to establish the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary.
