Description
Borrow, Learn, Create with The Sydney Library of Things
This workshop series at the Coal Loader is brought to you in partnership with The Sydney Library of Things! Each session highlights handy items you can borrow from the Waverton branch and teaches you practical, beginner-friendly skills to save money, reduce waste and build confidence. From sewing your own bag to getting started with power tools, you’ll learn how to make the most of what’s available to borrow instead of buy.
This workshop is all about bread making!
If you’ve tried to make bread with no success, or you want to expand your bread making skills - this workshop is for you! The Sydney Library of Things has a bread maker that you can borrow at any time.
In this workshop you’ll learn how to make a variety of breads in a bread maker - and sample some. Carol will share her proven bread maker recipes that require no kneading as the machine does it all. You’ll learn how to make several different breads: wholemeal, chickpea, herb, olive, pumpkin and more.
You’ll also learn how you can make pizza dough, pita bread, ciabatta and bagels using the machine.
About the presenter - Carol has ‘home made’ for 45 years. She recently returned to Sydney after spending 6 years living as self-sufficiently as possible in rural Queensland. During this time she honed her skills for everything home made - from food to body products to cleaning products.
Please remember - these workshops have very limited capacity, if you can no longer attend, please cancel your tickets via the manage my booking button in your confirmation email or contact coalloader@northsydney.nsw.gov.au
