Keep The Hills Beautiful Week: Bushcare & Dural Land Snail Art Workshop 🐌🪴

Keep Australia Beautiful (KAB) has inspired Australians to care for and protect their local environment for more than 50 years.

Join the Environment and Bushland Teams for a fun and engaging community event at Ellerman Park. Take part in a creative art workshop led by Patrick Shirvington, exploring the unique Cumberland Plain Woodland and the endangered Dural Land Snail. You can also get hands-on with the local Ellerman Park Bushcare Group, learning about plant identification, bushland conservation and practical ways to help protect our natural areas.

There will be two art workshop sessions running on the day:

• Art Session 1: 10:00am–11:00am
• Art Session 2: 11:00am–12:00pm

When registering, please select the session and time slot you would like to attend.

Bushcare activities will run from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Participants are welcome to join at any time during this period.

Bookings are essential. A FREE BBQ lunch will be provided for all participants. 🌿🐌🍴

Important Information

Location and Parking: This workshop will be held at Ellerman Park Reserve. The event will take place to the LEFT of the library (see map below) Free parking is available, and toilets are located on site.

What to Bring: If you are participating in the Bushcare activities, please wear enclosed shoes, gloves, long pants and a hat, and bring a water bottle.

Important Information: Workshops are only available to residents of The Hills Shire. Please note a ticket must be booked per person that attends. One ticket cannot be used for multiple people e.g. a family. This workshop is suitable for families and children aged 5+, with adult supervision required.

Event Attendance Policy: If you cannot attend the event, please cancel your ticket at least 12 hours in advance. No-shows or late cancellations may result in loss of future booking privileges.

This workshop is for children and families. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult.
