In 2026, the ACTS Conference: The Future of Sustainability returns in-person to celebrate a major milestone — 20 years of ACTS and two decades of advancing sustainability across the tertiary education sector.

Hosted by Griffith University on the Gold Coast, the 2026 conference will bring the ACTS community together face-to-face for a unique event that values connection, collaboration and bold thinking. As the only sustainability conference developed by and for the tertiary sector, the event will honour the progress of the past while looking firmly toward the future we are collectively shaping.

Across 27–30 October, sustainability professionals, academics, leaders, students and partners from across Australasia will gather to share practical insights, challenge assumptions and strengthen the relationships that underpin meaningful systems change in education.

From campus operations and strategy to teaching, research and community impact, the conference will showcase the depth, diversity and applied expertise of the ACTS network. This 20th anniversary edition places renewed emphasis on the power of coming together in person — creating space to reconnect with peers, celebrate achievements, and be energised by the collective momentum of a sector committed to sustainability leadership.
